Camping outdoors and enjoying the freedom of nature can be a wonderful experience. However, if you are like me your back doesn’t enjoy the experience of lying on the hard ground. There are many types of tent beds you can choose from that will make you more comfortable. Don’t forgo the entire camping trip because you don’t like how sleeping in a sleeping bag feels.

Some sleeping bags have extra padding in them. Not only do they keep you very warm on those colder mornings, but they offer you an extra layer of comfort between your body and the ground. You can also bring along an extra blanket to place under you for even more comfort.

Cots are another great tent bed option. Most cots fold up for easy storage and you can set them up in just a few seconds. Cots are quite narrow though so this isn’t a good option for anyone who likes to spread out while they are sleeping. The frame of a cot is made from a lightweight aluminum. There is a fold out leg towards the top and another one towards the bottom.

My personal favorite type of tent bed is the air mattress. They are very comfortable to sleep on and you can choose a single, twin, or queen size mattress. They are also very easy to fill up with air in just a matter of minutes. You can use an air pump, an adapter to your car cigarette lighter, or even a blow dryer to air up the mattress. Some of the newer air mattresses available feature a switch that allows it to fill up automatically.

Camping out is very fun, but it is a much more enjoyable experience if the tent beds you are sleeping on are comfortable. This is especially important if you have back pain, you are pregnant, or you plan to camp out for several days. With so many different tent beds to choose from it is silly to suffer being uncomfortable so you can enjoy your day time activities in nature. The right tent bed for you depends on your personal needs, how much room you have, the storage space available to you, and how much money you are willing to spend.

Look around and check that every seat, including that of the driver, is equipped with a durable and well-maintained safety belt.

4. The driver should be highly qualified and clean of any substance abuse. Sometimes accidents can happen because the driver could be high on drugs or a certified alcoholic. The drivers of the motor coach rental company must not only be professional, but also tested of any substance abuse. You can confirm that from a drug agency, or you can ask for records from the car rental company. If they have nothing to hide, they would be glad to give you what you need.

Nowadays, camping has evolved from simply being an activity that involves temporary outdoor living to being a mode of living. The “return to nature” movement has helped develop modern camping, designing it now to supplement modern living and provide opportunities for the development of outdoor skills. The camper employs a minimum of primitive but functional equipment that furnishes almost all of civilization’s basic conveniences. One such necessary equipment is the camping tent.

Factors to Consider

Standard tents used to be “two-party-affair” pup tents. For larger parties, taller and warmer wall tents, having floors and screening of suitable fabric to make them insect-proof, were readily available.

With the growth of organized camping, the industry that provides such equipment has steadily grown. And with more campers paying close attention to structural factors, tents should now be manageable, useful, made of sturdy materials, and uncomplicated to set-up and put away. The temperature ranges in which a camper will be camping also need to be considered when buying this equipment.

The 3-Season Tent

The 4-Season Tent

The pricier 4-season tent may or may not have a rugged “bathtub” floor which is merely an excellent waterproof floor that comes up to about six inches on most 4-season tents’ sides. These tents are suitable for year-round camping, and for whatever weather conditions there might be. They have a minimum of four aluminum poles for support, with some brands having more than that. Such specification is great for inclement winter weather. 4-season tents can also come in sleek outlines, are usually dark-colored to soak up heat better and are also lighter.

The 3-Season vis-à-vis the 4-Season

Most campers still prefer the 3-season tent because it makes for a great family camping tent. As long as it’s used in the seasons specified, it can still provide adequate protection from the elements. However, 3-season tents cannot withstand powerful snowfall, lashing rain and rough winds. They are not suitable for such wilderness outings as an Alaskan excursion in January.

Too much insulation can be a problem during the summer months for a 4-season tent. The heftier price tag of a 4-season could also sway a buyer towards a 3-season. But for the camper who plans to commune with nature in the wilderness and in stormy winter, the 4-season would be a better choice.

• The Martin Yale Rapidfold P7200 is designed to take letter sized (8.5″ x 11″) sheets and fold them in half or into a letter-fold for insertion into a standard number ten envelope.
• The P7200 is a step up from a small desktop letter folder that needs to be fed by hand, one document at a time. You can add a stack of paper up to 1/2″ thick onto the feed tray of the P7200 and it will conveniently feed each sheet and eject the stacked sheets into the stacking tray.
• The Rapidfold P7200 also has a manual bypass slot that allows you to fold up to 3 sheets at a time including stapled sets by hand feeding them one set at a time.

Weaknesses / Limitations:

• The Martin Yale Rapidfold P7200 is an excellent personal paper folding machine that is designed for folding folding letters, statements or invoices. However, it is not designed for folding thick paper stocks, glossy papers or coated sheets. It is specifically designed for folding sheets that are between 16lb and 28lb bond.
• This machine is only designed to fold letter sized 8.5″ x 11″ sheets. The slightly larger Rapidfold P7400 will handle both letter and legal sized sheets. However, users who need to fold custom sheet sizes should probably consider moving up to either the 1501x or the 1601 paper folding machines.
• The Martin Yale P7200 is only designed to perform two folding patterns. It can fold sheets in half and it can fold sheets into a letter. If you need to fold sheets into other patterns such as a z-fold, church-fold, gate-fold or baronial fold you will need a larger more feature rich folding machine.
• This machine is what is commonly referred to as a manual setup paper folder. This simply means that you need to manually adjust the paper stops on the fold plates to the correct positions in order to change folding patterns. Adjusting the fold plates can be a little bit tricky especially for inexperienced users. For this reason, the P7200 is probably best suited for organizations that do not need to switch folding patterns on a regular basis. Larger auto setup folding machines can simplify the movement of the folding plates but also cost considerably more than the P7200.

Recommendation:

• The Martin Yale P7200 Rapidfold paper folder is great for organizations that need to fold a few hundred documents per week or are looking for a convenient folding solution to fold a few dozen sheets at a time.
• For organizations that need to fold more documents than this, need to create a number of different folding patterns or need to use paper sizes other than 8.5″ x 11″ the features and construction of the P7200 are probably not going to meet your needs.
